Health problems in short nosed breeds

12 May 2017 Brachycephalic obstructive airway syndrome, BOAS, is a syndrome which can cause health problems in brachycephalic, or short nosed, dog breeds. A Nordic working group recently released a report with a list of proposed actions againt BOAS. 

The Working group was appointed by the Nordic kennel clubs to propose statements and actions to be taken to improve health and welfare for dogs affected by BOAS.

It aims to review the current situation, suggest steps to rectify the effects of BOAS and propose ways forward.
